| These are the only 2 remaining Marshutz & Cantrell locomotives in existance. They were patented by John Dolbeer. The gypsy was used on a number of early logging locomotives as kind of a portable donkey. As donkey engines got larger, gypsies were apparently not needed and many were removed. The locomotives are historic in that there are very few locomotives this old that still operate. |
