The following were restored by THA and are owned and operated by the California State Park at Fort Humboldt, Eureka.
Falk Marshutz & Cantrell 1884 0-4-0 9 Fort Humboldt SHP operational
Gypsy Marshutz & Cantrell 1892 0-4-0 12 Fort Humboldt SHP operational
These are the only 2 remaining Marshutz & Cantrell locomotives in existance. They were patented by John Dolbeer. The gypsy was used on a number of early logging locomotives as kind of a portable donkey. As donkey engines got larger, gypsies were apparently not needed and many were removed. The locomotives are historic in that there are very few locomotives this old that still operate.
